Plan great days out this summer with Cardiff Bus

Penarth Pier

daily from 2 June - 4 September 
and 10, 11, 17 & 18 September

Breeze down to Penarth Pier on our special summer service from Kingsway (stop GR) or St Mary Street (Wyndham Arcade stop JE) in Cardiff city centre.  Our summer bus stops outside Penarth Pier Pavilion so you can enjoy a stroll along the promenade or wander up the hill to discover the tranquility of the flower gardens of Alexandra Park and Windsor Gardens.  You can also alight at Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay if that takes your fancy instead.

An open top bus* will run on this service from the end of July until the 18th September.

Adult - £4 on the bus or £3.80 on our app
Under 16 or mytravelpass - £2.60 on the bus or £2.50 on our app
Group (up to 5 people) - £10
Family (up to 5 people, max 2 adults and minimum 1 child) £5.50 on weekends and school holidays or £8.60 during school term

Additional baycar journeys
from 5th June until 3 September

We’re adding extra journeys to our baycar service so you can enjoy the delights of Cardiff Bay without hanging around for a bus.  Our frequent service runs between the city centre and Cardiff Bay every 15 minutes during the day, 7 days a week from 5th June. 

In Cardiff Bay, take a boat trip, get all scientific at Techniquest or enjoy a nice meal and drink in one of the great cafés and restaurants.  There are plenty of other things to enjoy including the Wales Millennium Centre, the Norwegian Church, the Senedd and more. 

The popular Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival returns to the Roald Dahl Plass from 1 - 3 July 2022.  Visit Cardiff Bay's website for more information about events and attractions.
