Skycar Open-Top Bus Returns 🌞

9 months ago Tue 23rd Apr 2024

As the weather warms up we're getting ready to bring the Skycar back out ready for summer 2024, linking Cardiff City Centre and Cardiff Bay, starting from Saturday 25th May.

We'll be taking a new route this year, linking you to some of Cardiff's most popular attractions hourly throughout the day. Starting at the National Museum, we'll call at Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Lower St Mary Street for St. Davids Shopping, then along to the bay where we'll call at Wales Millennium Centre, Britannia Quay for the Norwegian Church and Porth Teigr Way for the Barrage Trail and Tiger Yard.

If you'd prefer to enjoy the highlighs of last year's route, a trip around the bay to Penarth Esplanade on the 305 offers a similar scenic route but with more trips, including an evening journey back from Penarth. We'll also be introducing a second summer special service later this year, offering new connections to Penarth as well as more journeys on Skycar - so watch this space for more!

The All Wales Concessionary Travel Card can be used on this service as usual.
