Starting high school or returning for another year?  Take a look at our school bus timetables and routes to make sure your journey to and from school is as easy as it can be.

Schools

Cathays High

• Service 618 runs between Bute Street, Cardiff Bay, Grange Gardens, the city centre, North Road, Crown Way.
• Service 619 runs between the city centre, City Road, Crwys Road, Whitchurch Road and Crown Way.

Fitzalan High

• Service 608 runs between Mount Stuart Square and Fitzalan High School via Avondale Road, Channel View, Clive Street and Sloper Road.
• Service 609 runs between Clare Road and Fitzalan High School via Ninian Park Road.
• Service 610 runs between Dumballs Road and Fitzalan High School via Clarence Road, Corporation Road, Penarth Road, Sloper Road, Leckwith Road and Lawrenny Avenue.
• Service 611 runs between Bute Street and Fitzalan High School via the city centre, Tudor Street and Ninian Park Road.

St Cyres

• Service 93S runs between Grangetown and Redlands Road via Clive Street and Ferry Road.

St Teilo’s

• Service 612 begins on Sloper Road and runs via Ninian Park Road, Clare Road, Corporation Road, Clarence Road, James Street, The Flourish, Lloyd George Avenue Tyndall Street, East Tyndall Street, Ordell Street, Habershon Street, North Park Road, Muirton Road, Tweedsmuir Road, Clydesmuir Road, Pengam Road to last stops before the Tesco Extra (Last stop on Pengam Road will be De Havliand Road bus stop) then returns along Pengam Road, Rover Way, Newport Road, Southern Way and Circle Way East.
• Service 613 runs between Adamsdown Square and St Teilo’s High School via Constellation Street, Tin Street, Splott Road, South Park Road, Muirton Road, Tweedsmuir Road, Clydesmuir Road, Pengam Road, Newport Road, the A4232 and Circle Way East.
• Service 614 runs between Broadway and St Teilo’s High School via Waterloo Road, Colchester Avenue, Penylan Road, Llanedeyrn Road and Circle Way East.

Ysgol Glantaf

• Service 615 runs between Roath and Ysgol Glantaf via Albany Road, Wellfield Road, Ninian Road, Wedal Road, Allensbank Road, Heath Park Avenue, Heathwood Road, The Philog, Merthyr Road, College Road, Gabalfa Avenue, Gabalfa Road.

Ysgol Plasmawr

• Service 604 runs between Leckwith and Ysgol Plasmawr via Sloper Road, Penarth Road, Clare Road, Clare Street, Neville Street, Cowbridge Road East, Wyndham Crescent, Romilly Road, Chargot Road, Pencisely Road, Waungron Road, St Fagans Road and Plasmawr Road.
• Service 606 runs between Leckwith Close and Ysgol Plasmawr via Leckwith Road, Llandaff Road, Romilly Road, Chargot Road, Pencisely Road, Waungron Road, St Fagans Road and Plasmawr Road.

Fares

If you’re under 16 you’ll qualify for our child fare.  We have a variety of tickets available to suit your travel needs, from single and day tickets to week, month and annual tickets.  You can purchase tickets on our app, apart from annual tickets which are only available from our office on Sloper Road.  If you want to purchase a week ticket on the bus you'll need an iff card.  

Tip: Some tickets are cheaper on the app and we offer a bundle of 12 single tickets for only £11.  Look for our Young Person Freedom ticket.

If you’re between 16 and 21 years old, apply for a Welsh Government My Travel Pass for discounted fares.  Once you receive your card you can purchase tickets at young person rates on the Cardiff Bus app or from the driver.  Please note, you will not qualify for the Young Person fare until you receive your pass.
