If you’re looking for a festive, fantasy-filled day you’re in the right place! Head down to St David’s shopping centre from 25th November – 24th December with your little ones to meet Santa’s very special helpers!
From this event you can expect:
- A friendly meet and greet with Santa’s most trusted elves, McJingles and Norbert and his special reindeer friend

Follow the 1.4km trail stretching through Bute Park this Christmas to be immersed in the light and colour of Christmas through a vast range of fluorescent displays and immersive effects.
If you’re feeling hungry on your way, grab some delicious and locally produced food and drink from the range of stalls along the trail.
This is the perfect place to begin the festivities with your friends and family. So hop on board with Cardiff Bus and immerse yourself in Christmas magic at Bute Park.
After a stroll around Bute Park this Christmas, pop into Christmas at Cardiff Castle right next door. This Christmas Cardiff Castle is treating you to a brand-new attraction filled with festive fun from 15th November 2022 – 8th January 2023!
You’ll be spoilt for choice with attractions and activities this Christmas. The festive entertainment at the Christmas Festival performing fan-favourites such as The Nutcracker and Santa’s Wish will fill you with Christmas cheer.

The Annual Santa Fun Run is back!
Grab your running shoes and Santa hat and join in the festive fun run on 11th December 2022 on Barry Island. Participants can run or walk this 2km race and all those who take part will be on Santa’s nice list! Don’t miss out on this festive annual run and travel to Barry Island with Cardiff Bus.
Join local bakers and crafters on the 3rd – 4th December at Goodsheds in Barry Island this winter for the Christmas Good Market. Get into the Christmas spirit with festive foods and Christmassy crafts that will get you feeling festive!
Stroll through the market from 9am – 1pm surrounded by the most delicious local food and drink as well as amazing artistry and crafts all under one roof. The market is also dog friendly, so your furry friends won’t miss out on the Christmas cheer!
You can get to this marvellous market on services 94, 95, 96 and 96A.
Santa’s elves are causing mischief, hiding in different shops around Barry! They plan on doing this from 2nd – 18th December, will you help Santa tame his pesky elves?
All you need to do is pick up a Trail Map from Barry Library and visit all the participating shops to find clues to name the Christmas Film. One lucky helper will win a £100 voucher for a local shop of their choice, what more could you want for Christmas?
This is the perfect activity for a festive family day out, so hop on board with Cardiff Bus and help Santa before his elves cause even more chaos!
This year Barry Island is bringing back the Festival of Light in Central Park by popular demand. Head down to Barry between 2nd and 11th December for light shows, animal trails, an enchanted fairy garden and much more!

For a more relaxing festive activity, put your Christmas creativity to the test this year at the Festive Wreath Making workshop at Penarth Pier Pavilion on 30th November. Shelter from the cold winter evenings in the gorgeous Pavilion Gallery with a glass of warm mulled wine and a tasty minced pie in the lead up to Christmas where you will have the opportunity to make your very own Christmas wreath which makes for the perfect present or addition to your home at Christmas.

Join the biggest festive fun run in Wales on 4th December and participate in SantaDash Wales this Christmas. Raise money with your family, friends, and other loved ones for a great cause in the season of giving.
All donations will go towards heart screening in Wales, placing defibrillators in Welsh communities and providing free CPR & defibrillator training. So, hop on board with Cardiff Bus and give something back to the community this Christmas.
We all know and Love St Fagans, so hop on our 32 service for some festive St Fagans fun!
On 10th, 11th and 17th December, Santa Claus is coming to town! Head down to St Fagans with Cardiff Bus from 10am – 5pm to see Santa and his elves before Christmas.
