Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is back for 2020 on Saturday 5th December. 

This day highlights small business success and encourages everyone to ‘shop local’ and support small and independent business within our communities. 

Coronavirus lockdowns have boosted the nation’s love for UK small businesses, with 59 per cent of Brits saying they now support local businesses more than previously.

We’re very lucky to have an array of small businesses across our network, with many located in the areas listed below.

Cardiff Christmas Markets

Set in the heart of the pedestrian area of the city centre on The Hayes, Trinity Street, Working Street and Hills Street, the traditional wooden huts are filled with goodies from local producers again this year.  Sample local food and drink whilst picking up some Christmas presents made by small and predominantly Welsh businesses.  Whether you’re starting or finishing your Christmas shopping you’re bound to find a perfect gift here.

Penarth

Penarth supports local shopping all year round with incentives such as the ‘Shop In Penarth’ cards which entitle holders to discounts and offers in a number of independent and small shops.

There are many small and independent businesses to support in Barry.  The newly opened Goodsheds is perfect for a bite to eat, or for picking up gifts.  Stroll along High Street or Park Crescent for more Christmas shopping.
