Summer Service July 2026

Summer is on the way, and with it comes the chance for us to review some of our timetables to ensure our services reflect seasonal demand. With fewer customers commuting to work, school, or college, we’ll be reducing the frequency on some of our busiest routes over the summer period.

But there’s good news too! We’re also reinstating service 91, increasing the frequency of the Baycar to every 15 minutes and running more trips, daily, on the Skycar... So you can make the most of the activities and events, enjoy an ice cream, take a leisurely walk, or spend the day exploring Cardiff, Penarth or Barry Island.

These timetable changes will take effect from 19th July and remain in place until September.

3New ServiceDue to low usage and heavy traffic around the sea wall works, service 3 will be replacing service 1A & 2A for journeys to Ocean Way and Wentloog - please check the new timetable to see which trip is best for your journey.

New timetable, back for the summer 

Service 91 is back for the Summer, providing a fast link from Cardiff City Centre to the sunny seaside sights of Penarth Esplanade every day.
