Major City Centre Events

During large events at the Principality Stadium, surrounding roads will close and buses will use different city centre bus stops.

The table below shows where each service will normally start and end when a full city centre closure is in place (i.e. Westgate Street, Wood Street, Havelock Street, St Mary Street, Castle Street and Duke Street are closed to traffic). Some exceptions may occur, particularly as the closures are implemented or when different streets are closed to traffic. For both Speedway and Cardiff 10k, these are not full closures and so different diversion routes will be in operation.

Please always check the timetables once they become available for information specific to your journey.

Bus stops at Wood Street, Tudor Street and Clare Road will not be served Buses towards the city centre will follow normal route to Penarth Road/Corporation Road/Clare Road junction, then run via Penarth Road, Callaghan Square and Mill Lane to Canal Street. 9 to/from Sports Village	Hayes Bridge Road (JH) Buses from the Sports Village towards the city centre will follow normal route to Penarth Road/Corporation Road/Clare Road junction, then run via Penarth Road, Callaghan Square, Lower St. Mary's Street, Mill Lane and Canal Street, terminating at Hayes Bridge Road. For connecting buses towards Heath Hospital, please go to Churchill Way. Bus stops along Clare Road, Tudor Street, Wyndham Arcade & Bute Terrace will not be served Buses from the city centre towards the Sports Village will run from Hayes Bridge Road to Penarth Road/Corporation Road/Clare Road junction via Callaghan Square and Penarth Road. Bus stops at Wood Street, Tudor Street and Clare Road will not be served.
9 to/from Heath Hospital *	Churchill Way Buses from Heath Hospital towards the city centre will terminate at Churchill Way. For connecting buses to the Sports Village, please go to Hayes Bridge Road (stop JH) at the side of John Lewis. Bus stops along Dumfries Place, Greyfriars Road, Kingsway, Westgate Street will not be served Buses from the city centre towards Heath Hospital will start from Churchill Way and then follow normal route
11 *	Churchill Way (stop HL) The bus stop at Hayes Bridge Road will not be served by route 11 Buses on their inbound journeys will not call at bus stops at Dumfries Place, Greyfriars Road, Kingsway or Hayes Bridge Road Buses will start their outbound journeys from Churchill Way and then follow normal route

The outbound bus stops at Cardiff Bus Interchange, Westgate Street, Cardiff Bridge and St. David's Hospital will not be served, please use the stops at Fitzhamon Embankment or at top of Neville Street instead
17 & 18	Fitzhamon Embankment Buses will enter the city centre via Neville Street and Despenser Street, terminating at Fitzhamon Embankment Buses towards Canton & Ely will start from Fitzhamon Embankment and exit the city centre via Tudor Street, Clare Street and Neville Street. The outbound bus stops at Wood Street, Westgate Street, Cardiff Bridge and St. David's Hospital will not be served, please use the stops at Fitzhamon Embankment or at top of Neville Street instead
21, 23 & 24	Greyfriars Road (stop GN) Route 24 inbound will enter the city centre via Lower Cathedral Road and Despenser Street, terminating at Fitzhamon Embankment. Bus stops at Cardiff Bus Interchange, Kingsway and Westgate Street will not be served
25	Fitzhamon Embankment Buses will enter the city centre via North Road and Kingsway, terminating at Greyfriars Road. Bus stops at Cardiff Bus Interchange, Kingsway and Westgate Street will not be served Buses will exit the city via Tudor Street, Clare Street and Lower Cathedral Road. The outbound bus stops at Wood Street, Westgate Street and Cardiff Bridge will not be served, please use the stops at Fitzhamon Embankment or Cathedral Road instead

* Lower St. Mary Street will closes at 21:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. If an event road closure is reopened before this time, buses may follow the Friday & Saturday night diversion for pedestrian safety.
