We always ensure that we offer fares that are affordable, great value for money that complement the comprehensive network of services that we operate from early to late, all days of the week. In more recent years we have also constructed our ticketing range such that we can ensure we offer a level of flexibility for the journeys that you make by enabling technology with our range of exclusive app bundle single and day tickets. Our last change in ticket prices was March 2024.
However, we are seeing several cost pressures on running our services and we are therefore having to revising prices of our tickets from 30th March 2025. Costs are rising across all areas of our operation which are outside of our control, for example forthcoming changes to National Employer Contributions. These changes mean we must review our prices to remain sustainable and continue to provide our network of services. We can, and do, as much as possible to minimise any cost rises as we recognise the impact price changes have for our customers. With this in mind, we have maintained our app exclusive bundle ticket prices as much as we can - you can still make a single journey ticket in Cardiff for £2.20 using this method - that's is still 20p less than todays on the bus cash fare!
Through our app exclusive deals you can still find the below great value fares;
- Adult single for £2.20 in Cardiff and Penarth - 20p less than today's on the bus fare through our bulk single ticket deal
- Unlimited travel around Cardiff and Penarth for £2.21/day when buying our monthly ticket
- Cheapest 'on the day' single and day tickets for public transport options between Cardiff, Penarth, Dinas Powys or Barry

iff card customer?
Have you considered switching to our app? There could me a more flexible ticket for you! The technology that supports our iff card system is no longer seeing the developments or support to keep up with the changing demands we see for our ticketing options. We are therefore planning on withdrawing this option over the coming months.
As well as the range of our usual day, week and monthly tickets in our app we also have a range of exclusive flexible tickets we are also testing longer duration tap on/tap off tickets. This will mean you won’t need a second card for travel - your bank card or device can be all you need.. This means we will shortly move to on the day cash fares, app tickets or day, week and month tickets using to on/tap off.
