New iff cards
At the beginning of November we announced that iff cards produced before September 2019 would expire at the end of service on the 31st of December 2019, and all tickets stored on these cards would also expire. Since then we’ve issued thousands of new iff cards and posted them to customers who have used their cards within the last 6 months.
If you haven’t received your new card, it may be on its way to you in the post or we may not have your correct details, so please pop into our Travel Centre on Westgate Street before the end of the year so we can issue you a new card which can be used immediately.
Over the next few days we’re open at the following times:
Friday 27 December - 10:00 - 18:00
Saturday 28 December - 10:00 – 16:00
Sunday 29 December - closed
Monday 30 December - 10:00 - 18:00
Tuesday 31 December - 10:00 – 16:00
Wednesday 1 January – closed
If you’ve purchased an annual or monthly ticket which expires after December the 31st, including NHS and corporate tickets, please bring your new and old card into our Travel Centre so we can transfer your ticket for you.
Did you know you can purchase tickets on our app? As well as viewing timetables, tracking buses and planning your journey, you can buy our day, week, 4 week and exclusive app tickets such as 10 adult single tickets for £16 and ‘Easy Three’. Find out more about our app here.
Transport for Wales are rolling out new style concessionary passes as the current cards will also expire on the 31st of December.
Once you’ve received your new pass you can use it immediately, but please dispose of your old card responsibly.
We’ve agreed to accept the old style concessionary passes until the 29th of February as we’ve been made aware that not everyone has made an application for a new card, and there are others who have not received their card yet. To apply for your new concessionary travel pass, please visit the Transport for Wales website by clicking here.
