Halloween & Bonfire Night Diversions 2024

From approx. 17:00 on Thursday 31st October 2024 & Tuesday 5th November 2024, some of our buses will divert for the safety of our customers and staff.  Please see below for the time diversions will start on each route and all will be in place until the end of service.

Halloween & Bonfire Night Diversions 2024

Splott and Tremorfa (Services 1, 2 and 11)

City Circle 1 & 1A: The last journey from Canal Street to operate normal route will be the 1550. Journeys from 1655 onwards will follow normal route to bottom of Colchester Avenue then right along Newport Road as far as the Royal Oak, then left onto Moorland Road, right into Habershon Street and return to normal route. The 18:10 1A from Wentloog Business Park will follow normal route to Rover Way, then ahead to Newport Road, left along Newport Road as far as the Royal Oak, then left onto Moorland Road, right into Habershon Street and return to normal route.

City Circle 2: The last journey from Canal Street to operate normal route will be the 1745. Journeys from 1810 onwards will follow normal route to end of Habershon Street, then left onto Moorland Road to the Royal Oak, then right along Newport Road to Colchester Avenue and return to normal route.

Service 11:  The last outbound journey from Hayes Bridge Road to operate normal route will be the 1720. Outbound journeys from 1740 onwards will follow normal route to St. Saviours/Splott Road, then divert along Habershon Street, left Moorland Road to Royal Oak, right Newport Road, right Rover Way and return to normal route to Pengam Green.

The last inbound journey from Pengam Green to operate normal route will be the 1803. Inbound journeys from 1823 onwards will follow normal route to Rover Way, then ahead to Newport Road, left along Newport Road to Royal Oak, left onto Moorland Road, right Habershon Street to Splott Road and return to normal route.

Ely and Drope (Service 13)

Service 13:  The last outbound journey from Cardiff Bus Interchange to operate normal route will be the 1705. Outbound journeys from 1735 onwards will divert along full length of Grand Avenue, not serving Heol-y-Felin, Mill Road, Plymouth Wood Road, Archer Road, Wilson Road and Snowden Road, to resume normal route to Mansell Avenue.

The last inbound journey from Mansell Avenue to operate full and normal route will be the 1645. Inbound journeys from 1720 onwards will divert along full length of Grand Avenue, not serving Snowden Road, Wilson Road, Archer Road, Plymouth Wood Road and Mill Road.

Rumney, Trowbridge and St. Mellons (Services 44, 45 and 101/102)

Services 44 & 45:  The last outbound journeys from Castle Street to operate normal route will be the 1708 (44) & 1717 (45). Outbound journeys from 1726 (44) & 1735 (45) onwards will divert along full length of Greenway Road (44) and Wentloog Road / Greenway Road (45), then normal route around St. Mellons estate.  

The last inbound journey from St. Mellons Police Station to operate normal route will be the 1728 (45) & 1738 (44). Inbound journeys from 1748 (45) & 1800 (44) onwards will operate normal route around St. Mellons estate, then divert along full length of Greenway Road (44) and Greenway Road/Wentloog Road (45). 

Service 101 & 102: The 16:10 & 17:10 journeys from the CBI will follow normal route Newport Road, then divert along full length of Newport Road and wait time at Bluebell Inn outbound bus stop, then divert along the full length of Newport Road to return. Llanrumney estate will not be served.

Rumney and Llanrumney (Services 49, 50 and 101/102)

Services 49 & 50:  The last outbound journeys from Castle Street to operate normal route will be the 1710 (49) and 1720 (50). Outbound journeys from 1730 (50) & 1745 (49) onwards will divert along full length of Newport Road and end journey and wait time at Bluebell Inn outbound bus stop. Llanrumney estate will not be served. 

The last inbound journeys from Countisbury Shops/Good Companions to operate normal route will be the 1753 (49) and 1811 (50). Inbound journeys from 1820 (50) and 1828 (49) onwards will start from outbound Bluebell Inn bus stop, then circle Llaneirwg Way/Newport Road roundabout and run along the full length of Newport Road. Llanrumney estate will not be served.

Service 101 & 102: The 16:10 & 17:10 journeys from the CBI will follow normal route Newport Road, then divert along full length of Newport Road and wait time at Bluebell Inn outbound bus stop, then divert along the full length of Newport Road to return. Llanrumney estate will not be served.
