Yes I knew I wanted to work in finance from an early age and decided that I wanted to become an Accountant during my school years.
What are your main responsibilities at Cardiff bus?
Making sure that Cardiff bus is financially viable and that the company continues with good Governance.
What have you learnt about the bus industry since working here?
I was a customer of Cardiff bus before joining, since I’ve joined I now understand the challenges facing the bus industry during a pandemic and the general day to day issues that it faces.
You started your role during the pandemic and lockdown. How easy was it for you to settle into your role and the company?
Everybody that I have met in the company have been friendly and are passionate in what they do. It has been a steep learning curve but one I’ve enjoyed.
Are there any female leaders who inspire you or have inspired you in the past?
I have worked with a number of excellent female leaders but they inspire me when they are good communicators, have empathy, and encourage you to do the best that you can at the role, and always be positive . It would be wrong of me to pick one female leader that has inspired me but I have learnt a lot from all of them.
