We've got our city circled!

City Circle routes 1 & 2 run through most areas of the city making it easy to get around without having to change buses in the city centre. You can also connect with other services along the route, making it even easier to get you to where you want to go. Click here to view the route map.

Buses run every 30 minutes during the day Monday to Friday and hourly on Saturday. City Circle 1 runs clockwise around the city, City Circle 2 runs anti-clockwise.
You can view the timetables here: City Circle 1 (clockwise); City Circle 2 (anti-clockwise).

If you’re popping out to the shops, the city circle will get you to, or near to, the following supermarkets and shopping centres:

  • Albany Road & Wellfield Road shops
  • Asda, Leckwith
  • Canton shops
  • City Link, Newport Road
  • Crwys Road shops
  • Lidl, Leckwith and Colchester Avenue
  • Marks & Spencer, Leckwith
  • Morrisons, Newport Road

Heath Hospital
The city circle is just the ticket to get to/from Heath Hospital. Service 1 stops at Heath Park Way, Children’s Unit, opposite Main Entrance and Ty Maeth; while service 2 stops at Ty Maeth, opposite A&E and the Dental Hospital.

We’ll get you to college/university as the city circle stops right outside Cardiff & Vale College, Dumballs Road and CMet Llandaff, Western Avenue. Plus, the city circle stops near Liberty House, Heath and Liberty Court, Birchgrove residences.

If you need to take the kids to primary school, then the city circle also goes near the following schools: Gladstone; Kitchener; Ninian Park; Marlborough; Mount Stuart and St. Alban’s RC.

Days Out
If you’re going out with friends or family for a day out at Victoria Park or going to enjoy all the facilities and entertainment that the Bay area offers, then have a day out with us, the city circle will get you there too.

Cardiff Bus
Need to get to our customer service offices on Sloper Road? No worries, the city circle stops right outside our offices and depot where you can collect lost property, top up your iffcard, buy tickets and pick up timetables. We're open 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Short Hop
Don’t forget if you’re making a short journey in the city centre or Canton or Cathays & Roath, then ask the driver for a Short Hop and travel for only £1 adults or 70p young people (ages 5-18). Click here for more details of the Short Hop zones.
