You can now see if the bus you’re waiting for is busy or not.
The live bus tracking feature on our website and app can now tell you if the bus you're waiting for has many or few passengers on board. Information is gathered from the ticket machine and customers on the bus to help you decide your best journey option.
The new feature will show information about the bus including its capacity, the bus type and features of the bus e.g. Wi-Fi and USB chargers.

Visit the timetable pages and click on the bus icon on the map to view the information
On the app
If you've selected a route as a favourite, you'll be able to track the buses on the Explore page. Click on a bus on the map and information about the bus will pop up. When you see the reg plate and the vehicle type, swipe up to view more information including the capacity.
If you're travelling on a bus where the current capacity is marked as 'unknown', help other passengers by updating the information yourself by clicking on 'Let other passengers know' and selecting either busy, moderate or quiet.
