Changes to Services 30 June 2024

Transport for Wales (TFW) confirmed that the new Cardiff Bus Interchange (CBI) will open from Sunday 30th June 2024. As a result the below changes will be made to routes that will initially use the new facility. This will mean changes to the city centre terminus, but no changes to times, of the following routes.

Route 13 City Centre - Ely – Drope
Journeys will start and end at the Cardiff Bus Interchange with journeys departing from stand 9.
The route to the city centre will be unchanged and after Fitzhamon Embankment the next and final stop will be Cardiff Bus Interchange. Journeys from the city centre will start at Cardiff Bus Interchange stand 9 and then follow their existing route – still calling at Westgate Street stop KL and Cardiff Bridge stop KR.

Route 17 and 18 City Centre - Ely – Drope
Journeys will start and end at Central Square, Wood Street JA – opposite BBC Wales HQ.
The route to the city centre will be unchanged and after Fitzhamon Embankment the next and final stop will be Wood Street, stop JA. Journeys from the city centre will Central Square, Wood Street JA – opposite BBC Wales HQ and then still call at Westgate Street stop KL and Cardiff Bridge stop KR.
This change has been to offer a better waiting facility than is possible at Westgate Street – with Buses starting here we recommend using this stop now as the principal city centre Bus stop.

Route 25 City Centre – Llandaff - Whitchurch
Journeys will start and end at the Cardiff Bus Interchange with journeys departing from stand 12.
The route to the city centre will be changed (arriving as route 24) and after Cathedral Road Buses will set-down at Westgate Street stop KG and the next and final stop will be Cardiff Bus Interchange. Journeys from the city centre will start at Cardiff Bus Interchange stand 12 and then follow their existing route – still calling at Westgate Street stop KM and Cardiff Bridge stop KQ.

Route 32 City Centre – Canton – St. Fagans
Journeys will start and end at the Cardiff Bus Interchange with journeys departing from stand 3.
The route to the city centre will be unchanged and after Fitzhamon Embankment the next and final stop will be Cardiff Bus Interchange. Journeys from the city centre will start at Cardiff Bus Interchange stand 3 and then follow their existing route – still calling at Westgate Street stop KL and Cardiff Bridge stop KR.

Route 61 City Centre - Fairwater - Pentrebane
Journeys will start and end at the Cardiff Bus Interchange with journeys departing from stand 11.
The route to the city centre will be unchanged and after Fitzhamon Embankment the next and final stop will be Cardiff Bus Interchange. Journeys from the city centre will start at Cardiff Bus Interchange stand 11 and then follow their existing route – still calling at Westgate Street stop KM and Cardiff Bridge stop KQ.

Routes 62 and 63 City Centre – Llandaff – Rhydlarfar (62) or Radyr (63)
Journeys will start and end at the Cardiff Bus Interchange with journeys departing from stand 14.

Routes 92, 93 and 94 Cardiff – Penarth – Dinas Powys (93)/Sully (94) - Barry
Journeys will start and end at the Cardiff Bus Interchange with journeys departing from stand 6.
The route to the city centre will be unchanged and after Tudor Street the next and final stop will be Cardiff Bus Interchange. Journeys from the city centre will start at Cardiff Bus Interchange stand 6 and then follow their existing route – next calling at Tudor Street.
