Services 28, 28A, 28B survey results
Thank you to all our customers who recently completed the survey about the 28, 28A and 28B route in Llanishen.
We conducted the survey to help inform our planning for proposed changes in September. Since our timetable change in March, we have noticed some weekday peak journeys would be better suited to be operated by a larger vehicle, but a section of the current route is not suitable for large buses.
In order to operate larger buses on this service, we would need to change the route so that buses use Fidlas Road and Ty Glas Avenue between Rhydypennau crossroads and Fishguard Road, rather than Heathwood Road and Crystal Glen.
Along with data collected from our ticketing system, we will use the responses from the survey to plan the best route for our customers.
We have analysed the results and we wish to share the results with you.
We received 222 responses in total which represents approximately 0.8% of our average monthly users on this service.
Of those customers who replied, 59.91% use the bus on a regular basis i.e more than twice a week and the majority, 87.39% use the service on weekdays.
Around 25% of those who responded pay for their journey by cash and another 25% purchase their tickets on our app, whereas others pay by contactless, direct debit, concessionary pass, iff card or by other means.
Less than 1% of our average monthly customers on routes 28, 28A and 28B said they board or alight the bus at the bus stops that wouldn’t be served if the proposed changes to the route were made. And just over a quarter (26.94%) said the change of route would mean they would catch the bus more often.
Again, we would like to thank those customers who took the time to complete our survey, and we will keep you updated of any future changes in due course.
