partial closure of Central Bus Station

From Tuesday 6th May and until further notice, changes will apply to services using Central Bus Station. As part of the demolition of Terminus Buildings, stands A and B of the Central Bus Station will close from Tuesday 6th May 2008. As a result, many bus services will use a different departure stand after this date, whilst a number of services will not use the Central Bus Station prior to 1900 on Monday to Saturday.

 

The services displaced are:-

 

Cardiff Bus

27, 28, 29, 29B, 35 & 36 (to Gabalfa only), 44, 44B, 45, 45B, 49, 50, 52, 52A, 57, 57B, 58 & 58B

 

Veolia Transport Cymru

22, 26A, 26B, 37, 55 & 56

All of which will start from their stop in St Mary Street. Journeys towards the City Centre will end a new bus stop in St. Mary Street outside Oxfam Shop/entrance to Morgan Arcade

 

Cardiff Bus & Newport Bus

30, 30D and X30

 

Stagecoach in South Wales

132 & X32

All of which will start from Lower St Mary Street outside The Philharmonic. Journeys towards the city Centre will end a new bus stop in St. Mary Street outside Oxfam Shop/entrance to Morgan Arcade

 

Stagecoach in South Wales

A, B, X and 26

 

All of which will start from Lower St Mary Street by Wyndham Arcade

 

All services will use Central Bus Station after 1900 on Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday, and will use their normal departure bay.

 

Routes that still call at Central Bus Station will use a different stand to drop off and pick up. Here is a temporary stand allocation for routes that call at Central Bus Station.
